Golang Software Engineer

About the role

Girteka is seeking a Golang Software Engineer to join its Spotos Tech engineering team. You will work on evolving logistics and pricing solutions, building new applications alongside existing systems in a fast‑moving, cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend microservices using Go.
• Deploy and operate services on GCP Kubernetes Engine and serverless functions on AWS Lambda.
• Work with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases – schema design, query optimisation, migrations.
• Implement event‑driven workflows with SQS and GCP Pub/Sub.
• Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code following team conventions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to technical documentation and architecture discussions.

Required profile

• Proven production experience developing software in Go.
• Strong grasp of Go idioms such as goroutines, channels, error handling, and interfaces.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Solid knowledge of MySQL, including efficient queries, indexing, transactions, and schema design.
• Familiarity with NoSQL/document databases and search engines like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of serverless computing (AWS Lambda) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git, pull‑request workflows, and Go testing practices.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
