About the role
The Officer in the President’s Office provides high‑level administrative and logistical support to the President/CEO of the International Rescue Committee. This cross‑functional position offers direct exposure to senior leadership, requiring meticulous attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and assemble briefing materials for internal and external engagements, ensuring completeness and timely delivery.
- Manage version control, document tracking, and secure distribution of confidential files.
- Oversee the CEO’s email inbox: triage, prioritize, draft responses, and route inquiries to appropriate stakeholders.
- Maintain a clear record of outstanding requests, deadlines, and follow‑up actions.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings for the President/CEO, balancing high‑volume requests and resolving conflicts proactively.
- Support complex meeting sequences, including pre‑briefs, debriefs, and preparation touchpoints.
- Arrange comprehensive travel logistics for the CEO, ensuring seamless itineraries.
Required profile
- Solutions‑driven, passionate change‑maker with a strong commitment to humanitarian impact.
- Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and ability to handle critical information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, able to anticipate needs and coordinate across multiple internal teams.
