Staff Security Architect

About the role

Payward’s Kraken Security Labs is looking for a hands‑on Staff Security Architect to shape and protect the security architecture of its next‑generation crypto and AI products. You will join a small, highly technical team and work closely with engineering groups across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and verify robust security architecture in a heterogeneous environment.
• Conduct thorough security assessments and audits of existing systems, recommending practical improvements.
• Stay current with blockchain, web3 and AI security trends, threats and mitigation techniques.
• Provide expert guidance to blockchain teams to ensure secure operational practices.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to embed security deeply into product development.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT security expert with a strong background in application security.
• Hands‑on experience testing diverse applications and securing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP and NIST.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and comfort working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote work with stakeholders worldwide.
