Strategic Key Account Manager

About the role

The Strategic Key Account Manager will own a portfolio of strategically important customers across Europe and the UK, driving sales, profitability and long‑term client loyalty. You will develop proactive sales strategies, negotiate contracts and expand our logistics solutions within each account.

Key responsibilities

• Travel across Europe and the UK to build strong relationships with customers, procurement and operational teams.
• Develop and maintain long‑term Key Account Plans, align them with senior leadership and conduct quarterly business reviews.
• Create value‑driven commercial offers, negotiate contract renewals and coordinate pricing strategies.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to maximize revenue and share of wallet.
• Lead virtual, cross‑functional teams (Transport, Planning, Legal, Finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Drive project‑based sales initiatives, including tailored logistics solutions and joint ESG/sustainability projects.
• Maintain executive‑level partnerships, resolve complex issues and support claims or debt collection when needed.
• Utilise CRM systems for accurate tracking, analyse market trends and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with fluency in English and proficiency in an additional foreign language.
• Proven track record in international account management and relationship cultivation.
• Strong commercial fundamentals and consultative selling experience.
• Expertise in large‑scale contract renewals, negotiations and building compelling sales propositions.
• Solid knowledge of the logistics industry, market trends and key cost drivers.
