Industrial Design Strategist

About the role

Orbio World is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Industrial Design Strategist to shape the direction of physical products and packaging that impact millions of users worldwide. You will blend deep industrial design expertise with a business‑focused mindset to turn broad product ideas into clear creative directions and practical solutions from concept to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define creative and design strategy for physical products and packaging across multiple categories.
• Translate broad briefs into well‑reasoned design concepts, balancing customer needs, brand identity, functionality and commercial goals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders throughout the product‑development lifecycle.
• Justify key design decisions on form, materials, colours and packaging.
• Provide structure to ambiguous challenges by asking the right questions and building clear frameworks.
• Contribute hands‑on to concept development and design execution when needed.
• Coordinate external design agencies, freelancers or partners as required.

Required profile

• Strong experience in product design with an industrial design background, especially for consumer products.
• Proven ability to turn broad briefs into commercially relevant design directions.
• Strategic, structured thinking with a talent for asking the right questions and building frameworks.
• Excellent creative judgement and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Hands‑on, adaptable approach across diverse product categories and fast‑paced environments.
• Experience coordinating external agencies or freelancers is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
