Paramedic

About the role

The Paramedic position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Kaunas, Lithuania. You will assess patients in urgent and emergency situations, deliver advanced life support, and stabilise them for safe transport to medical facilities. The role requires rapid decision‑making, teamwork and strict adherence to clinical guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients on scene and determine the appropriate level of care.
• Provide basic and advanced life support, including airway management and cardiac resuscitation.
• Stabilise patients for transport and ensure safe hand‑over to hospital staff.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly and navigate to incident locations.
• Operate, monitor and maintain medical equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators and monitoring devices.
• Administer medications according to established protocols and document all interventions.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and other emergency services.
• Follow safety procedures during transport and on‑scene activities.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant paramedic or emergency medical qualification recognised in Lithuania with a valid licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, basic and advanced life support, and medication administration in pre‑hospital settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with medical staff and diverse patient populations.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, make rapid clinical decisions and manage multiple urgent tasks safely.
• Physical and mental readiness for shift‑based work, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of local emergency protocols, infection‑control standards and patient‑safety regulations.
