Principal/Director, Data Analytics Consulting for Financial Services

About the role

We are looking for a senior Data Analytics Principal/Director to act as a trusted partner for senior client executives in the financial services sector. You will shape our European Financial Services offering, build capabilities and teams, and drive key engagements from sales through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with client CTOs, CIOs and other executives on data strategy, enterprise platform builds and AI transformation initiatives.
• Develop and evolve the Financial Services Data & Analytics portfolio, serving as the regional go‑to expert.
• Lead RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, craft winning strategies and storytelling.
• Manage the financial services project portfolio and provide delivery oversight for major engagements.
• Establish and nurture long‑term client relationships focused on value delivery.
• Define program vision, success criteria, team composition and governance for strategic engagements.
• Advise delivery teams on regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the financial sector.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants in Financial Services Data & Analytics.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data technology and consulting, with a strong client‑facing background.
• Proven ability to engage C‑level stakeholders, position services and act as a trusted advisor.
• Management experience (Senior Manager, Director or higher) within financial institutions, consulting firms or advisory organisations.
• Deep knowledge of banking data models, processing systems, key KPIs and regulatory frameworks such as Basel 2/3, BCBS 239 and AML/AFC.

Required skills

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and a track record of implementations.
• Familiarity with Databricks and other cloud‑agnostic data platforms.
