Real Estate and Purchasing Manager

About the role

Scania is seeking an experienced Real Estate and Purchasing Manager to oversee its Lithuanian premises, drive real‑estate projects and lead purchasing activities. The role also supports strategic initiatives across the Baltic region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate real‑estate and purchasing projects in Lithuania.
• Manage maintenance, renovation, reconstruction and development of Scania facilities, including sustainability‑related projects.
• Ensure premises are safe, functional, sustainable and properly maintained.
• Balance global requirements with local business needs, quality standards and financial considerations.
• Regularly review and visit Scania facilities across Lithuania and travel to Latvia and Estonia when required.
• Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Baltic purchasing strategy, processes and procedures.
• Support departments with purchasing expertise, sourcing activities, supplier management and selection of appropriate purchasing tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, cost‑effectiveness, sustainability and long‑term business value.

Required profile

• Experience in real estate, facility management or construction project management.
• Experience in purchasing, sourcing, supplier management or contract negotiations.
• Higher education in real estate, construction, engineering, purchasing, business management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong ownership and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance quality, operational requirements and financial considerations.
• Fluent spoken and written Lithuanian and English.
• Willingness to travel within Lithuania and, when required, to Latvia and Estonia.

• DALI lighting control systems.
• Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Battery‑electric vehicle infrastructure.
• Electrification project knowledge.
