Java Developer – Payments (Baltic IT team)

About the role

Are you passionate about software development and eager to contribute to Swedbank's payment services? In this role you will design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Java applications using the Spring Framework and manage their deployment on OpenShift.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications on OpenShift containers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Use GitHub for version control, conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to extend application functionality.
• Implement messaging solutions using Kafka, MQ or RabbitMQ.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Hands‑on experience with OpenShift for container orchestration.
• Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, MQ or RabbitMQ.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
