Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

Telia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help build and scale the Pay TV cloud ecosystem for Telia Play. You will work on modern cloud technologies, drive innovation, and support teams across Sweden, Finland and Norway.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and optimise AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments.
• Design, implement and manage end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Build infrastructure as code primarily with Terraform, and occasionally with AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Manage compute environments including ECS, Fargate and Lambda.
• Implement observability and monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Drive security, resilience and cost optimisation while sharing best practices with the team.

Required profile

• Solid experience with AWS and containerised platforms such as ECS and EKS/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, compliance controls, network security).
• Ability to design resilient, high‑availability architectures with multi‑region, auto‑scaling and disaster‑recovery capabilities.
• Deep understanding of networking and routing (VPC, subnets, Transit Gateway, load balancing, DNS, service mesh).
• Hands‑on experience with automation and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation and GitHub Actions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a mindset for knowledge sharing.
