Product Engineer

About the role

Base360.ai is building an AI operating system for short‑term rental operators. We are looking for a Product Engineer who will turn real customer problems into intuitive, reliable software, working closely with founders, designers, and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer workflows, identify friction points, and prioritize problems worth solving.
• Take features from idea through prototype, development, testing, and deployment across frontend, backend, and integrations.
• Collaborate with designers to create intuitive interfaces that simplify complex rental operations.
• Build event‑driven automation engines that eliminate repetitive tasks such as cleaning scheduling and guest communications.
• Develop AI‑powered features using LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage, and pricing support.
• Design and maintain reliable APIs and integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google.
• Implement solutions for real‑time reservation sync, dynamic pricing, smart‑lock access, automated guest messaging, and owner reporting.
• Measure product impact using customer feedback and usage data, iterating to improve adoption and efficiency.
• Make technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability, security, and scalability as the platform grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software.
• Ability to work across both frontend and backend systems.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud architecture.
• Product mindset with curiosity about why users need a feature.
• Good judgment on usability, scope, and technical trade‑offs.
• Comfort turning ambiguous problems into practical solutions.
• Confidence collaborating directly with customers, designers, and founders.
• Independent ownership of outcomes and a bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating.
• Interest in AI, automation, and operational efficiency.
