Accounts Payable Assistant Accountant – Central Europe Team

About the role

Yara International is looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) Assistant Accountant to join its Central Europe Team within Yara European Business Services (EBS) in Vilnius. You will support day‑to‑day AP processes, work closely with suppliers and contribute to month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounts payable transactions, including invoice matching and coding.
• Communicate with suppliers, manage reconciliations and update banking details.
• Set up new suppliers and maintain accurate master data.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures and ensure SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education in finance or a related field (advantageous).
• Previous experience in accounting or a similar role (advantageous).
• Willingness to learn and strong cooperation skills in a cross‑cultural environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Eligibility to work in Lithuania.

• Proficiency in standard accounting software and tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
