Air-to-Road Solutions Director – Europe

About the role

Girteka Group is seeking a senior commercial leader to build and scale a new Air-to-Road business across Europe. This role focuses on converting time‑sensitive air cargo flows from Asia into fast, cost‑effective road solutions, leveraging Girteka’s extensive network and brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the European go‑to‑market strategy for the Air‑to‑Road proposition.
• Identify cargo flows currently moving by air that could be shifted to express road services.
• Engage senior logistics, supply‑chain and procurement decision‑makers to build a pipeline of strategic customers.
• Create customer‑specific business cases, pilot solutions and turn successful pilots into recurring revenue.
• Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, customs and network teams to define standard lanes, pricing models and service specifications.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in air freight, global freight forwarding, time‑critical logistics or multimodal transport.
• Deep knowledge of Asia‑Europe supply chains and established relationships with senior cargo owners across Europe.
• Proven commercial mindset with a track record of building new business and delivering profitable growth.
• Entrepreneurial, hands‑on attitude and ability to work with senior and executive‑level customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
