Barista – Luxury Retail Café

About the role

Join Holt Renfrew’s upscale café environment and deliver premium coffee experiences to discerning customers. You will work in a fashion‑driven setting, supporting the brand’s commitment to quality, service, and social responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café items according to Holt Renfrew standards.
• Maintain consistent quality, accurate preparation, and attractive presentation of all drinks.
• Keep the coffee station, equipment, and service areas clean and organized at all times.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and related café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Restock beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies as needed.
• Greet guests warmly, provide personalized service, and share product knowledge including coffee origins.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Monitor product freshness and quality throughout service.
• Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar café or barista role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso‑based beverages.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
