DevOps Engineer – Network Automation

About the role

Join Festo Lithuania as a DevOps Engineer focused on network automation. You will work in a global team from Kaunas, designing and operating automated solutions that bridge on‑premise, virtual and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain network automation for device provisioning, configuration, change management and telemetry collection using Ansible, Python or similar tools.
• Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) for network components and cloud‑network integration (VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups).
• Integrate monitoring and observability pipelines, handling SNMP, streaming telemetry and NetFlow data with Grafana, LogicMonitor or comparable platforms.
• Set up configuration management, version control and CI/CD pipelines for network changes using GitLab or equivalent.
• Perform troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and capacity planning across physical, virtual and cloud networks.
• Participate in architecture reviews, on‑call rotation and global projects to ensure 24x7 operations.

Required profile

• Solid experience in infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible and Python.
• Hands‑on expertise in IaC, Git version control and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar).
• Proven ability to design and support cloud networking solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts: routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and network security.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability and telemetry tools.
• Fluent English communication skills.
