Eksploatavimo inžinierė (Operations Engineer)

About the role

AB Amber Grid is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the reliable and safe operation of gas distribution infrastructure in Lithuania. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising technical work on pressure vessels and related equipment, contributing to the development of green hydrogen and biomethane integration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out technical maintenance, fault analysis and repair of gas distribution station equipment (pressure vessels).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and manage procurement activities linked to group operations.
• Conduct pipeline elbow wall‑thickness measurements following approved methodologies.
• Organise annual inspections of buildings, territories and access roads, and produce defect reports.
• Participate in main gas‑pipeline cleaning, diagnostic device commissioning and acceptance procedures.
• Supervise contractor work, verify quality and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support other departmental initiatives, propose improvements and help implement them.

Required profile

• Higher education in engineering, technology or physical sciences (or equivalent).
• Experience in engineering, construction or the energy sector.
• Strong written and spoken Lithuanian and English.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to systematise and summarise information.
• Openness to innovation, quick decision‑making and result‑orientation.
• Category B driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
