Engineering Manager

About the role

NordLayer is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a squad of 8‑10 engineers building scalable cybersecurity solutions. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of features, ensure the team operates efficiently, and help customers stay protected across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of design, development, deployment, and operations of squad‑owned solutions.
• Enable the team by setting clear direction, removing roadblocks, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Lead sprint planning, track velocity, and ensure product milestones are met.
• Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and create personal development plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional squads and stakeholders to discuss and validate business solutions.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong software development background with interest or experience in networking.
• Understanding of professional software engineering practices across the full development lifecycle.
• Proactive, team‑spirited attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
