Engineering Manager – K4B

About the role

As an Engineering Manager at KAYAK for Business, you will lead one or more agile teams that deliver software enabling companies and their travelers to move smarter with less friction. The role is based in Vilnius and requires a hybrid work model (at least three days onsite per week).

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery for agile teams, ensuring high‑quality releases aligned with product and business KPIs.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap, collaborating with product managers and peer engineering leaders.
• Design and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, observability, and Definition of Done criteria.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for software engineers.
• Coach engineers at all levels through regular 1:1s, feedback, and career conversations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to plan and deliver complex, multi‑team initiatives.
• Identify and remove delivery risks, championing continuous improvement and blameless post‑mortems.
• Influence architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership role.
• Proven experience leading teams that integrate travel‑industry suppliers (flights, hotels, trains) via Direct APIs, GDS, NDC.
• Strong track record of ownership, data‑driven results, and agile transformation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to articulate technical vision to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
