Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Financial Accountant at Baltic Assist, you will manage the full accounting cycle for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The role combines hands‑on accounting tasks with the opportunity to supervise junior colleagues and interact directly with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute primary accounting operations, including purchase/sale accounts, bank transactions, payments, and payroll processing.
• Collect, analyse, and record financial and administrative data from multiple sources to maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss items, and prepare interim and annual reports in line with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare VAT, tax, and other management reports, and support external auditors, tax inspectors, and legal advisors during audits.
• Communicate with clients on accounting matters and share best practices with less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in finance or accounting.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
