Freight Forwarder / Transport Manager (EU Road Freight)

Key responsibilities

• Manage LTL and FTL freight flows across the EU, ensuring full operational control from order placement to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing carriers while actively expanding the carrier network to secure reliable capacity and long‑term partnerships.
• Negotiate rates, transport capacity, and delivery schedules to obtain competitive and efficient transport solutions.
• Contribute to route planning, optimisation, and business growth by developing new transport routes.
• Take ownership of daily transport operations, including carrier selection, shipment monitoring, documentation management, and overall shipment control.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in international road freight transportation (LTL, FTL, or freight forwarding).
• Proven experience working with carrier networks and the ability to independently develop and expand them.
• Excellent negotiation skills regarding freight rates, transport capacity and times.
• Ability to independently manage transport operations and make sound operational decisions.
• Strong results orientation, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, for daily communication with international partners.
