General Ledger Accountant (Kaunas)

About the role

Karo Healthcare is seeking a General Ledger Accountant for its Kaunas office. You will own the day‑to‑day GL accounting for multiple legal entities, work closely with Global Finance and help improve finance processes in a fast‑moving international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of day‑to‑day GL activities for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing in line with group deadlines and policies.
• Prepare and review journals, manual vouchers and accruals, and handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile expense, payroll and fixed‑asset accounts, including depreciation.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations and analyse P&L variances.
• Support the Financial Controller with financial statements, consolidation reporting and audit preparation.
• Work with external auditors, banks and tax authorities.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement opportunities across finance processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international FMCG or consumer‑healthcare organisation.
• Strong hands‑on experience in GL accounting and financial close processes.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience using a General Ledger module within an ERP system.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P).
