GL Accountant – Entry Level

About the role

Cencora’s Shared Service Center in Lithuania is looking for an enthusiastic GL Accountant to join its finance team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop core accounting skills while supporting a global pharmaceutical leader.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare routine journal entries, account reconciliations and financial transaction records in line with established accounting standards.
• Reconcile assigned account balances, bank statements and subsidiary ledgers, flagging unresolved variances for senior accountants.
• Compile financial data and supporting documentation for senior‑team reporting, analysis and period‑close activities.
• Coordinate follow‑up with internal stakeholders on transaction approvals, documentation requests and data confirmations.
• Support period‑close by completing reconciliations, accrual preparations and reporting tasks within the close calendar.
• Apply accounting controls, data‑quality standards and documentation requirements to ensure compliance with reporting and audit obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Less than 2 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, transaction processing or reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and SAP Disputes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
