Head of BIM Engineering

About the role

Dextall is seeking a visionary Head of BIM Engineering to lead the transformation of commercial building exterior design across the United States. This senior position blends leadership with deep technical expertise to build scalable, automated BIM processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor the BIM Engineering team, setting goals, conducting 1:1s, and managing performance.
• Define and execute the future direction of Dextall's Revit and BIM workflow, creating multi‑year roadmaps.
• Integrate BIM processes with R&D, design management, automation, production engineering, and manufacturing.
• Establish quality standards, templates, families, naming conventions, health checks, review gates, and documentation.
• Identify repetitive engineering tasks and automate them using AI, Dynamo, scripting, Revit add‑ins, or low‑code tools.
• Build or commission internal tools, drive adoption, and measure impact on hours saved and error reduction.
• Coordinate outsourced teams, participate in hiring, onboarding, and address underperformance constructively.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in engineering or BIM teams.
• Strong systems‑thinking and automation mindset.
• Ability to operate autonomously, propose solutions, and think beyond current projects.
• Experience scaling BIM processes in a fast‑growing environment.
