Head of Data

About the role

Saily is looking for a Head of Data to own the entire data function, from ingestion to modelling and analytics. This hands‑on leadership position will guide a growing team of Data Analysts while shaping the technical direction and architecture of the company’s data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Data Analytics team, set priorities, standards and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Design and own end‑to‑end data architecture, including pipelines, raw data stores, analytical models and business insights.
• Define data modelling standards, schemas, semantic layers, metrics and relationships to make data usable for people and AI.
• Establish data quality, documentation, governance and reliability standards across the organization.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and other stakeholders to translate needs into a clear data strategy.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or data analytics, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands‑on background in data modelling, schema design and modern data architecture.
• Proven ability to lead and develop Data Analysts or Analytics Engineers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the confidence to work directly with product, engineering and business leaders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building from scratch and making decisions with incomplete information.
