Junior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

Metso is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its Accounts Payable team in Vilnius. The role supports the processing of invoices and ensures timely, accurate financial transactions while contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices for assigned company codes in accordance with standard procedures and company guidelines.
• Handle communications and requests received through designated mailboxes for the assigned codes.
• Assist with period‑close activities and support the overall month‑end closing process.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistency and high‑quality service across sites.
• Maintain compliance with KPIs, controls, policies and procedures.
• Perform any additional tasks delegated by the line manager.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Higher education degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred).
• Customer‑service mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong teamwork and cooperation skills in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP or other accounting software and databases (advantageous).
