Junior Atlassian Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Atlassian Systems Engineer to join our internal Atlassian team and support the day‑to‑day administration of Jira and Confluence. The role suits candidates with hands‑on Jira experience—such as power users, project administrators, or key users—who want to move toward Atlassian administration and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day Jira and Confluence requests.
• Troubleshoot common user and configuration issues.
• Support access and permission requests.
• Assist with Jira projects, boards, filters and standard configurations.
• Perform basic configuration changes under guidance.
• Test implemented changes and investigate reported issues.
• Maintain simple technical documentation.
• Escalate more complex issues when needed.
• Gradually take on more independent and technical Atlassian tasks as knowledge grows.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Jira beyond basic end‑user usage (e.g., power user, key user, project administrator).
• General understanding of Jira projects, issues, workflows, boards and permissions.
• Previous experience in IT support, application support, system support or a similar technical environment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in learning Jira and Confluence administration.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Experience with Jira Service Management.
• Experience with Confluence.
• Jira project administration experience.
• Basic experience with Jira Automation.
• Basic understanding of APIs or JSON.
