Junior .NET Engineer – Windows VPN Applications

About the role

Join the team behind the world’s most advanced VPN to develop and maintain the NordVPN Windows desktop application. As a Junior .NET Engineer you will work on a high‑performance security product used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NordVPN Windows desktop applications, ensuring features are operational and high‑performing.
• Work across the full software stack with a focus on desktop application development.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, QA and Product Owners in a cross‑functional team.
• Use Microsoft tools and technologies to extend product functionality through high‑quality code.
• Contribute to a team‑based approach for software development and complex problem‑solving.
• Leverage additional technologies and languages outside .NET when required.

Required profile

• Experience as a .NET (C#) developer.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
• Basic knowledge of source control and unit‑testing best practices.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes and solve complex edge cases.

Required skills

• .NET framework and C#.
• Object‑oriented programming.
• Source control systems (e.g., Git).
• Unit testing.
• XAML‑based technologies such as WPF or UWP (bonus).
• Native Windows programming, Windows APIs and WCF (bonus).
