Kitchen Porter

About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to support daily kitchen operations in a premium airport lounge. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, supporting kitchen flow, and ensuring hygiene and safety standards are consistently met in a regulated airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment using appropriate methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, storage and dishwashing areas.
• Support basic kitchen tasks such as moving supplies and assisting with setup.
• Handle waste according to established procedures.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Report any hygiene issues, equipment faults or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist cooks and the Kitchen Lead during peak service periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen, cleaning or similar operational environment (preferred but not required).
• Reliable, hands‑on approach with willingness to support the team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.
• Attention to cleanliness, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Basic English skills sufficient to understand instructions and communicate with the team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• H10 food‑safety certificate preferred or obtainable during onboarding.
• Aviation security background check required for airport access.
