About the role

Lithuanian Caritas is seeking a Communications Coordinator to shape and deliver its national communication strategy. You will create compelling content, manage media relations, and help raise awareness of Caritas initiatives across Lithuania.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s communication strategy.
• Design communication plans, campaigns, presentations and multi‑channel content tailored to diverse audiences.
• Lead communication for donation campaigns and Caritas projects at a national level.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and regional media and partners to increase visibility.
• Identify and tell personal stories through text and video, generating ideas that engage the public.
• Support diocesan Caritas teams with communication advice and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare news for global Caritas channels and adapt international topics to the Lithuanian context.
• Analyse communication results and propose improvements.

Required profile

• University degree and at least 3 years of experience in communications, media, public relations or a related field.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
• Strategic mindset with the capacity to execute communication plans consistently.
• Strong understanding of media operations and existing media contacts.
• Self‑starter attitude, responsibility, and teamwork orientation.
• Interest in Lithuanian and global current affairs, societal processes, and Church life.
• Alignment with Caritas’ mission and a desire to help people in need.
• Knowledge of Church structures and volunteer experience in Caritas is a plus.
