Lead Base Maintenance Manager – Multi‑Site Operations

About the role

Ryanair Engineering is expanding its maintenance network and seeks a Lead Base Maintenance Manager to oversee heavy‑maintenance activities across several European sites. This senior position reports to the Head of Heavy Maintenance and is responsible for performance, compliance and output of all base maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Base Maintenance Managers at six locations (Prestwick, Seville, Kaunas, Wrocław, Shannon, Hahn).
• Ensure maintenance is delivered and certified according to MOE and EASA Part‑145 standards.
• Oversee manpower planning, resource allocation, tooling, and material provisioning.
• Drive training, competency development and performance standards across all teams.
• Manage subcontractor performance and contractual compliance.
• Liaise with CAMO representatives, suppliers and internal stakeholders on planning and defect resolution.
• Own safety performance, risk management and incident reporting.
• Provide regular reporting and escalation to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Significant experience in base/heavy maintenance within a Part‑145 environment.
• Proven leadership of multi‑site or distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of EASA Part‑145 and MOE requirements.
• Track record of delivering operational performance in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across European bases.
