Legal Counsel

About the role

Join the OPTOMAN team as a Legal Counsel. Provide practical, business‑oriented legal support that protects OPTOMAN’s interests, enables responsible growth, and ensures compliance across commercial, operational, corporate, and international activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain commercial agreements such as NDAs, supplier and customer contracts, service and partnership agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice on day‑to‑day operational, commercial and corporate matters.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation measures that balance business objectives with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure company policies, procedures and business practices comply with local and international laws.
• Lead compliance initiatives including export control, sanctions, data protection and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop and improve internal legal templates, contract standards and governance processes.
• Support intellectual property protection, confidentiality management and safeguarding of company know‑how.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization.
• Deliver legal training and guidance to employees on compliance and contractual obligations.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisors and coordinate specialized support when required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law and qualification to practice law in Lithuania or another EU jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of legal experience gained in‑house or in a law firm advising corporate clients.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and NDAs.
• Practical knowledge of corporate, commercial and contract law.
• Experience in compliance areas such as data protection, sanctions, export control or regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical business recommendations.
• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian, both written and spoken.
• Experience supporting international business operations is a strong advantage.
