Mid Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an established AI company based in Germany. You will design and operate cloud infrastructure from concept through ongoing operations, using infrastructure-as-code as your core tool.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS, including containerised applications on EKS.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers and networking components such as VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN and DNS.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Bash, Python or PowerShell scripts and develop CI/CD pipelines.
• Create minimum viable products and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies.

Required profile

• Completed vocational qualification or technical degree in IT system integration with strong results.
• Solid experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Windows/Linux server administration and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab, CI/CD strategies, Bash, Python, PowerShell, VPC, load balancers, firewalls, VPN and DNS.
• Strong automation mindset with high standards for documentation, security and reliability.
• Very good English; German is a strong plus.
