Mid-level Software Engineer (C++) – Browser Team

About the role

NordLayer is looking for a mid‑level Software Engineer to join the Browser Team. You will develop high‑performance, secure desktop applications in C++ and Python that run across multiple platforms, helping global businesses protect their networks.

Key responsibilities

• Create clean, maintainable, performant, and well‑tested C++ and Python code for stand‑alone applications.
• Solve complex problems in security, performance, privacy and networking on multiple platforms.
• Develop and maintain a multi‑functional desktop application with cross‑compilation capabilities.
• Integrate and work with REST APIs.
• Debug and optimise code for memory‑sensitive environments.

Required profile

• Solid experience developing in C++ (desktop application development a plus).
• Interest or experience with open‑source projects.
• Experience with cross‑compilation capable projects.
• Familiarity with REST API usage and development.
• Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
