Mid-level Software Engineer (C++) – Browser Team

About the role

NordLayer is looking for a mid‑level Software Engineer to join the Browser Team. You will develop high‑performance, secure desktop applications in C++ and Python that help thousands of global companies protect their networks.

Key responsibilities

• Create clean, maintainable, performant, and well‑tested C++ and Python code for stand‑alone applications.
• Solve complex problems in security, performance, privacy and networking across multiple platforms.
• Develop, maintain and improve a multi‑functional desktop application with cross‑compilation capabilities.
• Integrate and consume REST APIs and ensure robust memory‑sensitive operation.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to guarantee reliability in all scenarios.

Required profile

• Solid experience developing in C++ with a focus on desktop applications.
• Interest or experience with open‑source projects.
• Experience with cross‑compilation and multi‑platform builds.
• Familiarity with REST API development and usage.
• Comfort working in memory‑sensitive environments and strong debugging skills.
