Mid/Senior Mechanical Engineer – Telematics

About the role

We are expanding our team and seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and improve innovative mechanical components for our telematics products and to design testing equipment. The role supports the Teltonika Telematics business, which creates GPS tracking devices for fleet management across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product ideas into mechanical solutions, defining architecture, evaluating alternatives and selecting optimal designs.
• Design plastic, rubber and metal parts for mass production and robotic assembly lines.
• Develop functional prototypes using 3D printing, CNC milling and other manufacturing methods, followed by assembly and testing.
• Create automated test stands and supporting equipment to ensure efficient product testing.
• Improve engineering processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing new standards and methods.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and improving products for end customers.
• Strong analytical thinking, ownership mindset and curiosity.
• Ability to identify improvement areas and implement innovative solutions.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software for 3D modelling and complex assemblies.
• Design for injection molding, GD&T and 2‑D technical drawing.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for reliability and manufacturability.
• Experience with rapid prototyping technologies such as 3D printing and CNC milling.
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing, assembly or testing processes.
