Multi-Mile Network Development Director

About the role

Ovoko is building a pan‑European Multi‑Mile delivery network that links first‑mile carriers, warehouses, line‑haul partners and last‑mile providers. As the Director you will define the strategy, select corridors, negotiate partners and own the end‑to‑end economics and performance of the network.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new European corridors based on demand, shipment volume and commercial potential.
• Own the full business case for each lane—from first‑mile to last‑mile—and benchmark against third‑party logistics alternatives.
• Select, negotiate and manage contracts with carriers and partners, setting pricing, capacity and service levels.
• Drive cost and reliability improvements using data while maintaining the customer experience.
• Set product, data and engineering priorities to enable scalable, automated lane management.
• Explore return handling and the potential to offer the network as a service to external customers.
• Lead a cross‑functional Multi‑Mile team and align operations, warehouse, data, product, finance and market teams around shared goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing or redesigning a cross‑border logistics or multi‑provider network.
• Strong commercial and financial ownership with a track record of building business cases and managing unit economics.
• Experience launching new lanes, hubs or carrier models and making data‑driven decisions.
• Ability to negotiate contracts beyond rates, covering capacity, service levels and performance expectations.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams across operations, product, finance and data.
