Principal DevEx Engineer

About the role

Flo Health is looking for a Principal DevEx Engineer to lead the Velocity team, which eliminates friction for internal developers. You will shape tooling, platform standards, and reliability for a high‑scale health‑tech product used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Build self‑service developer tools that give product teams autonomy while preserving system stability.
• Architect and evolve the core stack on AWS, EKS, and Terraform.
• Lead reliability initiatives, including business continuity planning and on‑call rotation.
• Support infrastructure for privacy‑focused features such as “Anonymous Mode.”
• Implement best‑in‑class observability (metrics, logs, tracing) to detect and mitigate issues early.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure, DevEx, SRE, or DevOps for high‑traffic, distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes (K8s) with a cloud‑native mindset.
• Automation‑first approach using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and strong coding skills (Python, Scala or Go).
• Comfortable across the stack—from React front‑ends to Terraform modules.
• Doc‑first communication style and ability to collaborate across distributed product teams.
• Experience with AI‑driven automation impacting development workflows.
