Privacy Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Privacy Legal Counsel to join Nord Security’s legal team. In this strategic position you will partner with product, risk, security and other business units to navigate privacy and data‑protection requirements across multiple jurisdictions while supporting rapid product development.

Key responsibilities

• Advise product, risk, security and other teams on privacy, data‑protection and related regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide commercially‑minded guidance that balances legal risk, user trust, speed of execution and business goals.
• Support and continuously improve Nord Security’s privacy compliance program, including internal policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Embed privacy requirements into product development and feature launches from the outset.
• Draft and review user‑facing privacy notices, consent mechanisms, data‑subject rights processes and international data‑transfer arrangements.
• Address complex issues arising from new technologies such as AI and cybersecurity, and translate regulatory developments into actionable advice.
• Develop legal frameworks, playbooks and decision‑making tools for recurring privacy challenges.
• Monitor privacy, AI and cybersecurity trends and provide practical recommendations to the business.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in privacy and data‑protection law, either in‑house or in private practice.
• Strong, pragmatic knowledge of data‑protection regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into scalable, business‑friendly processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
