Project Manager – Card Issuing

About the role

As a Project Manager (Card Issuing) you will own the card issuing function, coordinating daily activities and driving continuous development. You will focus on Visa and Mastercard requirements, new products and payment functionalities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse Visa and Mastercard rules, mandates and product documentation.
• Lead implementation of scheme requirements across product, operations, risk, compliance, IT and other teams.
• Manage end‑to‑end lifecycle of new Visa/Mastercard products, from planning through testing, certification and launch.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to Risk and Compliance on scheme requirements.
• Collaborate with Core Banking and Processing Centre teams to translate requirements into actionable changes and oversee testing and production launch.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of card issuing, payment schemes and the payments ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with Visa and Mastercard rules, requirements, products and certification processes.
• Proven experience working directly with Visa, Mastercard, card processors and external partners.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across product, operations, risk, compliance, IT and core banking.
• Ability to identify risks, dependencies and issues early and drive them to resolution.
