Quality Control Specialist – QC Engineer II

About the role

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Quality Control team and contribute to delivering safe, effective products that improve health and the environment. As a Quality Control Specialist (Engineer/Scientist II) you will work in a GMP‑regulated laboratory, applying state‑of‑the‑art analytical techniques to ensure product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products using HPLC, GC, MS, and spectrophotometry.
• Evaluate test data, investigate out‑of‑specification results, and document findings in laboratory information management systems.
• Maintain compliance with GMP regulations, ISO, FDA, USP, and EP standards.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and support Lean/Six Sigma projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and support product releases.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (no experience required) or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and quality‑system requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
