Security Engineer

About the role

Franmax, an IT services provider for the MAXIMA GRUPĖ retail network, is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen its security posture across on‑premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate combines a solid technical foundation in infrastructure, cloud, networking, Linux or DevOps with a passion for cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor security solutions such as SIEM, XDR, vulnerability scanners, and IAM platforms in both on‑premises and cloud settings.
• Analyze security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with incident‑response teams when needed.
• Conduct security assessments, support remediation activities, and enforce security controls in line with company policies.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to embed security best practices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for security automation, improved monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead security awareness and training initiatives to elevate the organization’s security culture.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD and identity‑management concepts.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools (SIEM, XDR, log management, vulnerability scanners).
• Understanding of network security fundamentals, firewalls, VPNs and secure access controls.
• Practical knowledge of security configuration, conditional access and MFA in Microsoft 365/Azure environments.
