Senior Accountant

About the role

NOEWE is launching a new Accounting service line and seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage client accounting and reporting under Lithuanian requirements, with future opportunities in international accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain client accounting in line with Lithuanian Business Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Prepare and file tax declarations and statutory and financial reports on time.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting processes including accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, inventory, fixed assets and payroll reporting.
• Build and continuously improve internal accounting control systems, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with VAS and IFRS where applicable.
• Contribute to the roll‑out of a new ERP system and automation/AI solutions.
• Partner with leaders of other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian VAS, tax law (VMI, Sodra, VAT, personal and corporate income tax).
• Hands‑on experience preparing statutory reports and tax declarations independently.
• Analytical thinking with ability to design processes independently.
• Fluent written and spoken Lithuanian and English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
