Senior Accountant

About the role

Join Civitta, an international consulting and digital solutions firm, as a Senior Accountant. You will work with the Lithuanian accounting team to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality accounting operations for Civitta and its legal entities, with the possibility to support external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle general ledger accounting, including data entry, account reconciliation, and month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Manage a team of four accountants.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations (PIT, SODRA, VAT, etc.) and monitor tax compliance.
• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash-flow reports.
• Manage payroll accounting, calculating salaries, taxes, and employee-related payments.
• Collaborate with auditors and public authorities, providing required documentation and ensuring legal compliance.
• Administer social subsidies, preparing documentation and liaising with public institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and tax reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Understanding of tax accounting reporting in Lithuania.
