Senior Android Engineer – POS for Vinted Go Shops

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join the Vinted Go team working on the Point of Sale (POS) product for Vinted Go Shops. As the sole Android engineer on the team you will have full autonomy to shape the Android architecture, experiment quickly and deliver a secure in‑person payment experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑quality Android features using Kotlin and modern Android technologies.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, data experts, designers and QA to deliver end‑to‑end payment experiences.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a modular Android codebase, using feature flags, experimentation and observability.
• Participate in design discussions, RFCs, code reviews and technical decision‑making.
• Continuously improve engineering practices, code quality and developer experience.

Required profile

• Extensive experience building Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture (MVVM, Coroutines/Flow), testing and maintainable software design.
• Product‑mindset with the ability to align technical decisions with user and business goals.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional, fast‑paced, data‑driven teams.
• Experience with payments, NFC or other hardware‑integrated mobile applications is a plus.
