Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Ondato is seeking a proactive Senior Legal Counsel to support day‑to‑day legal operations. You will advise internal teams, negotiate and review contracts, maintain policies, and handle compliance and regulatory matters across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and participate in negotiations of service agreements with clients.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide legal advice on contract performance.
• Review contracts and negotiate with partners and suppliers.
• Handle company‑wide compliance matters, including GDPR issues.
• Draft and maintain internal documentation, policies, and templates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure processes comply with legal and client requirements.
• Provide legal guidance and resolve issues across departments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law or equivalent education.
• 5‑7+ years of professional legal experience after graduation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Lithuanian and English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GDPR and data‑protection regulations.
• Familiarity with eIDAS, NIS2, and DORA regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in IT, technology, financial or commercial law, including SaaS licensing, IT services, and data‑protection matters.
• Background in fintech, regtech, or financial‑services projects (nice to have).
