Senior Manager, Technical Sourcing Engineering (Bio/Chem)

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Technical Sourcing Engineering for biochemicals, chemicals and biologicals. You will provide technical leadership across EMEA and APAC, driving sourcing strategies that support the company’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical sourcing engineers across EMEA and APAC, delivering alternative sourcing, value engineering and productivity projects.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with division and category procurement goals.
• Oversee program‑level initiatives, ensuring effective governance, resource allocation and project execution.
• Communicate portfolio health, progress and impact to executive leadership.
• Resolve supply‑chain challenges and maintain continuity across global operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing sciences, technical sourcing or related roles, preferably in biotechnology.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing people and resources in a matrixed, multi‑site environment.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement methodologies (Lean, PPI, Six Sigma, 5S) and project‑management tools.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10–50% of the time.
