Senior Security Solution Architect – AI/GenAI

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Solution Architect to support Security GenAI Foundation initiatives within a large financial organisation. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable and operable solutions, with a strong emphasis on AI/GenAI security, secure‑by‑design principles and integration of security controls across cloud, data and enterprise IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support solution architecture activities across Security GenAI Foundation initiatives.
• Translate programme objectives, solution requirements and governance expectations into architecture requirements, design principles and solution patterns.
• Develop and maintain solution designs, deployment blueprints, integration patterns, Architecture Decision Records and security control guidance.
• Define secure‑by‑design patterns for AI and GenAI adoption, covering identity, access, data protection, logging, monitoring, observability and runtime controls.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Engineering, Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams to align architecture across domains.
• Assess architecture options, identify risks, document trade‑offs and recommend pragmatic design decisions.
• Provide guidance on integrating security tooling and controls with AI platforms, data services, cloud environments and enterprise IT services.
• Act as a technical sparring partner for programme teams and technical owners, helping resolve complex architecture questions and dependencies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Security Architecture or Cybersecurity, preferably within large or regulated organisations.
• Broad architecture experience across security domains such as IAM, cloud security, data protection, infrastructure, network, platform security, monitoring, logging and defensive operations.
• Strong ability to design secure, scalable and operable solutions and to create architecture artefacts (designs, blueprints, integration patterns, ADRs).
• Knowledge of AI, GenAI or Machine Learning security, including prompt protection, model access controls, AI observability, data leakage prevention, runtime protection and red‑team testing.
• Deep understanding of secure‑by‑design principles and experience embedding security controls from early planning stages.
• Ability to translate strategy, regulatory and governance requirements into practical architecture and technical design decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, risk, compliance and technology teams.
