Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will set technical direction, own architecture decisions, and help a new R&D team deliver responsible AI solutions for global financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead R&D and proof‑of‑concept deliveries for cloud‑native solutions built on Java and React, establishing technical standards and end‑to‑end architecture.
• Design and own secure integrations using REST and modern agent‑to‑agent protocols, ensuring reliability, observability, and production readiness.
• Champion software engineering best practices, mentor engineers and DevOps staff, and drive cross‑functional initiatives across testing, deployment, observability, operability, and security.
• Promote AI‑assisted tooling across products and the software development lifecycle, and take on Agile roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of full‑stack engineering experience with production‑level Java expertise (Spring, OOP, SOLID).
• Proven experience building modern component‑based web applications, preferably with React and TypeScript.
• Strong SQL competency, Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, and working familiarity with core AWS services (EKS, RDS, IAM, networking, observability).
