Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

Orbio World is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead tax compliance across multiple markets. You will ensure accurate, timely filings and support the finance team in a fast‑paced e‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, prepare and reconcile financial data for VAT, GST, sales tax and other tax filings.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, provide data, review returns, raise questions and approve submissions.
• Perform critical reviews of tax calculations and declarations to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting records.
• Work with internal accountants to resolve discrepancies between tax reports, declarations and bookkeeping entries.
• Maintain tax liabilities and declarations in the accounting system and support tax registrations in relevant jurisdictions.
• Maintain documentation, trackers, filing calendars and supporting records.
• Assist with requests from external advisors, tax authorities and auditors.
• Monitor deadlines and manage high‑volume tax data across multiple entities and markets.
• Support process improvements, automation and AI‑driven solutions for tax compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting or consultancy, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of indirect tax regulations in Lithuania and across EU, US, UK and other jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with external consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Integrity, strategic mindset and results‑driven approach.
• Proactive, curious and open to using AI and automation tools.
