Software System Engineer – Embedded Systems Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Software System Engineer (Software Architect) to join our Embedded Software team. You will act as a bridge between customers, system architects, and engineering teams, translating mission or product needs into effective technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to gather, clarify, and analyse system and software requirements.
• Translate needs into technical specifications, prepare preliminary and detailed system/software designs, and define interfaces and integration strategies.
• Conduct feasibility studies, trade‑off analyses and technical assessments to propose suitable embedded solutions.
• Review and validate requirements across subsystems, work closely with hardware, firmware and software teams, and support project proposals with documentation, cost/effort estimates and risk analyses.
• Participate in design and project review boards, presenting solutions and justifications, and contribute to continuous improvement of system‑engineering processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience with embedded systems or technical system engineering.
• Solid understanding of how software interacts with hardware, sensors and electronic components.
• General electronics knowledge enabling effective communication with hardware teams.
• Experience in requirements analysis, solution preparation and technical coordination between teams and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with attention to technical and business aspects.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
